New Partnership for Enhanced Healthcare Services for Sri Lanka Army Personnel and Their Families

On February 14, 2024, the Sri Lanka Army and Suwa Shanthi Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Army Headquarters. This partnership marks a significant step in providing comprehensive healthcare services to both active and retired Sri Lanka Army officers and their families under the Cashless Scheme.

Under this new arrangement, beneficiaries can receive surgical procedures and inpatient treatments at Suwa Shanthi Hospital in Anuradhapura. The hospital is well-equipped to provide high-quality medical services, adhering to international standards and guidelines. Qualified consultants and medical staff ensure that patients receive the best care possible.

This initiative underscores the commitment of both the Sri Lanka Army and Suwa Shanthi Hospital to the well-being of military personnel and their families. By leveraging the hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities and expert medical team, the program aims to offer a seamless and stress-free healthcare experience.

The Cashless Scheme provides a convenient way for eligible individuals to access necessary medical treatments without the burden of upfront payments. It simplifies the process and ensures that financial constraints do not hinder the receipt of essential healthcare services.

This partnership is a testament to the ongoing efforts to support the healthcare needs of those who have dedicated their lives to serving the nation. It is a significant milestone in the continued collaboration between military institutions and healthcare providers in Sri Lanka.
